Activision exec to join Chegg.com

Just as we write about Chegg.com we have news that former Activision exec now heads to Chegg.com. Dan Rosensweig will now head Chegg as it tries to become the #1 Textbook rental service. But they will have to go against Barnes and Nobles who will have it's own rental service. In addition Congress last year set aside $10 million to give grants to college bookstores to start textbook rental programs.

Chegg.com - Rent Textbooks

Chegg is doing for Textbooks what Netflix did for DVD rentals. Chegg offers students to rent textbooks rather than buying them. Thus you save money which you can use for other things. This is a brilliant idea as students pay way to much for Textbooks they use for only 1 semester. So I think Chegg has a chance to make mad money on rentals while students save as well.
